About The Museum

The Brixham Heritage Museum was founded in 1958 to preserve and share the history of Brixham, an important fishing town on the south Devon coast.

About The Building

The museum is housed in the former police station, which was built in 1902. The ground floor of the building originally housed cells, while the second floor was a flat for the sergeant’s family.
